Pilates, nutrition & exercise referral in Worcestershire
with Hayley Deaves
I'm a qualified Mat Pilates Instructor and Nutrition Therapist based in Kidderminster. My holistic approach encourages clients to understand and respect their body's power, as well as its limitations, to regain confidence and improve wellbeing.
I graduated with a BA(hons) in Business & French, and an MA in Management and soon adopted a typical sedentary "9-5" routine, which left little time for self-care. This came amidst years of chronic anxiety and depression, disordered eating, and persistent back and shoulder pain from spinal scoliosis. My wellness journey began on turning 30 when I underwent emergency stomach surgery, and it has continued through recent diagnoses of osteoarthritis, sleep apnoea and chronic fatigue syndrome.
My unique perspective and approach draw on this lived experience of physical and emotional challenges, as well as the healing potential of an active lifestyle and balanced nutrition.
I absolutely love teaching, and continue to develop my practice so I can provide fresh and tailored lessons and advice. I am currently completing further qualifications in nutrition, exercise considerations for older adults, prenatal & postnatal exercise, lower back pain and exercise referral so I can enable more people to share in the fantastic benefits that Pilates and healthy living have to offer.
I have qualified through the Blackford Centre and HFE, through which I'm completing the Pilates Master certification
Level 4 Diploma in Nutrition Therapy (2018, Distinction)
Level 3 Mat Pilates Instructor (2019)
Level 3 Nutrition to Support Physical Activity (2020)
